Telford Junior School converted to academy status and joined the Elm Tree Multi Academy Trust (MAT) on 1st September 2023. North Leamington School formed the Elm Tree MAT in 2016 and invited Telford Junior School to join them in partnership, as part of the Elm Tree MAT. The Government is encouraging all schools to consider converting to academy status and in increasingly challenging and fast changing circumstances, governors believe this will benefit the pupils and our school community.

Following consultation with stakeholders, governors agreed to proceed with an application for academy conversion, which has now been approved by the Department for Education.
