Wellbeing Ambassadors

The Wellbeing Ambassadors are a valuable team at Telford Junior School. They are made up of 12 children, one of the largest groups at Primary age in the Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull School Sports Partnership. We have 6 Year 6 pupils and 6 Year 5 pupils. These pupils are nominated at the end of Year 4 and start their role in Year 5. Once they have moved onto Secondary school they are invited to carry on with the role.

At the start of the Autumn Term 2020, Telford Junior Wellbeing Ambassadors received their first training of the year. Many Ambassadors joined together from local schools for this training, at our school. The Ambassadors learnt more about what it means to an Ambassador and about what we mean by well-being. They took part in activities to get them thinking about Social, Emotional and Physical well-being !

The children learnt different skills to be able to work with children. They have also been to a second training session at Milverton Primary School, here they looked specifically at the work they were going to do at the Wellbeing festival with younger children.

Wellbeing Festival

On the 22nd November, the Wellbeing Ambassadors helped to run  an event for lots of children in the local area. There were many different events and the children enjoyed taking part in the event. Please have a look at the photos below.
