Welcome to Telford Junior School!
Telford Junior School is a popular and successful school, serving the Cubbington and Lillington community of Leamington Spa. The school was originally opened in 1956 as a junior and infant school, later becoming a middle school. Following reorganisation of Warwickshire schools in 1996, we changed status to a junior school (taking children between the ages of 7 – 11).
We share our site with the Infant School, from which the majority of our pupils transfer at the end of Year 2. The two schools have developed close links, supporting continuity and progression for the children in our care.
The school benefits from a large playing field and playground areas, facilitating the provision for a wide range of games activities. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool, mainly used by our younger children. In Year 5, the children have lessons at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre in Leamington.
The staff at Telford Junior School values the important partnership with parents, in providing a caring and supportive learning environment. We want the children to enjoy their education and to develop an enthusiasm for learning. Our aim is to provide a wide range of rewarding learning experiences, that encourage, challenge and extend the children’s abilities, helping them to fulfil their potential.
